Help Desk Support Specialist

SUMMARY

Provides first line of contact for users requiring network or pc support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
• Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems.
• Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
• Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide end-user support and train users in voice/data usage. Must be able to effectively communicate with end-users of varying skill levels and positions.
• Configure and install workstations for network access.
• Install, configure and update virus protection for workstations.
• Apply operating system updates for workstations.
• Maintains workstation inventory records and assignments to personnel.
• Maintains software license inventory records.

• Must be well-organized and takes a planning approach to accomplishing goals
